Stig Stasig (b. 1961) is a Copenhagen based photographer, printmaker and artist.
In the early 1980´ties Stig studied classical drawing and painting at various art schools in Denmark. In 1985 he coincidentally took up photography and is best known for his immense work in the former Soviet Union from 1988 to 1993, the Riga/Latvia based Forstate Project 1992/2017, and the latest Nordic underwater survey project, from Iceland, Norway, Sweden and the Faroe Islands.
In 2010 Stig opened the first version of The Stasig Archives fine art print shop at the former Carlsberg Brewery premises. The workshop & gallery is now centrally placed in downtown Copenhagen.
